PSYCHOTHERAPY

Everyone is different and experiences life's dilemma, challenges, and losses in their own way. Therapy provides a safe, non judgmental space to talk with a professional about issues that are causing you confusion, stress or just making you feel plain sad. These could include low mood, anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, identity issues, family stories, trouble communicating, disordered eating and feelings of self harm and sabotage.

Sometimes when we get to a point when we have used up all of our inner resources and our thoughts continue in the same old pattern, speaking with a psychotherapist can help to begin to give a voice to these thoughts. Once spoken out loud it becomes easier to deal with the issues.  Patterns and long standing coping strategies begin to reveal themselves and they can be examined to see if they still serve us well.

Psychotherapy provide the space for you to talk about yourself and your relationships. We don't usually find this opportunity in our day to day lives, we worry about taking up too much time from friends or family, or are concerned they will be shocked and worried about what we say. We may worry they might relate your words to themselves and be hurt or judgemental.

During my career as a psychotherapist I have helped people deal with troubling  issues, sometimes they come with one very clear goal for the therapy, and sometimes they come with a muddle of emotions and concerns which have become just too much to bear.
